The very high floor to ceiling of 4.2m allowed the insertion of a mezzanine floor in part of the flat. A steel stair with solid oak treads leads from the entrance hall up to the new bathroom which is finished in mosaic tiling and high quality sanitary ware.

The stair cantlievers out from the wall so it floats above the existing hall floor which is in original Victorian tiles.
